JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Senior Lean Leader, you will be responsible for developing and deploying advanced manufacturing and lean methods across GE HealthCare’s MR Coils supply chain, driving process and product quality rigor as well as working cross functionally to drive inventory reduction and turn improvements. As a subject matter expert, you will provide technical leadership for the production teams, and drive manufacturing excellence through new processes, methods and lean principles that will improve safety, reduce product cost, improve product quality, and turn inventory faster. You are responsible for lean leadership, Inventory Reduction, and Increased TURNS in the Coils value stream.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS or BA Degree with at least 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Lean Certified – preferably at Black Belt or Master Black Belt with examples of recent, successful project execution, and problem solving with VSM, Kaizen, A3 as part of an extensive Lean toolbox.
  • Recent experience leveraging a wide variety of tools from Lean and Six Sigma (VOC, facilitation of cross functional teams, Pareto, fishbone, Pugh, PICK, Pull, SIPOC, 5S, process mapping in Visio, Miro, etc.).
  • Experience in visual management such as creation of digital dashboards (Spotfire, Smartsheet, Excel, AHA, Clarity PPM).
  • Experience Managing & Leading Enterprise Company, Site, or Function (GM, Dir, VP, COO).
  • Experience in influence without authority.
  • Recent experience in coaching and mentoring at all levels across an organization in scrum framework and Lean methodologies with measurable results.

Responsibilities:

  • Standardize daily management system to drive visibility of line health and production abnormalities.
  • Institutionalize Lean methodology with the hourly employees to make Lean a core part of Coils culture and improve overall site engagement and adoption of changes.
  • Drive improved product quality and compliance by identifying manufacturing issues, developing advanced manufacturing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production.
  • Drive effective root cause analysis and problem solving to identify and resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design.
  • Monitor and improve productivity through the use of Lean Six Sigma or related tools, while ensuring all customer commitments are met with quality and in a timely, cost-conscious fashion.
  • Drive rigor in process capability assessment, process layout, tooling and equipment development and QMS Design Transfer execution.
  • Drive Manufacturing Process Engineering initiatives across Coils while providing business-wide impact and enabling sharing of best practices across the Global Supply Chain.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through Qualification & Validation. Responsible for ensuring rigor in determining processes requiring validation, development of plans and analysis criteria, execution, and final analysis and acceptance.
  • Drive continuous simplification of QMS methods and their applications by working with cross- functional team including Operations and Quality Assurance.
  • Develop action plan to reduce or eliminate defect sources.
  • Execute action plan(s) to reduce or eliminate defects. This will be accomplished by leading, influencing and doing.
  • Provide Lean leadership and simplification to key areas of supply chain.
  • Work with the operating leaders to develop strategic deployment planning as well as specific goals and priorities that drive lean principles and concept across the business.
  • Serve as a change agent by influencing, communicating and institutionalizing a culture of simplification and standardization.
  • Coach Lean Manufacturing Leaders and plant leadership in the use of Lean tools and the simplification methodology to drive significant business impact.
  • Improve customer satisfaction and reduce cycle-time on specific wing to wing processes.
  • Conduct regular value stream reviews with Manufacturing Leaders to assure the team drives significant and measurable business impact.
  • Communicate progress, status and issues to the business leaders - Seek, share and institutionalize best practices.
  • Recognized as a key manufacturing technology leader across the Global Supply Chain, demonstrating strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Lead initiatives with wide business impact. Ensure consistent and effective deployment across the Global Supply Chain.
