Description:
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Education/Training, Organisational Development or related areas
- At least two years’ experience in Learning and Development /HR generalist role
- Knowledge of the Vocational Education and Training system including Apprenticeships and Traineeships
- Prior experience within the Construction or Mining Industries will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Senior L&D Advisor for a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. The purpose of this role is to deliver, advise and coach employees and managers to develop and build capability in relation to all aspects of the employee lifecycle, particularly in relation to ‘soft skills’ training including induction, onboarding, technical skills development, people systems and development planning.
- Identify training needs, develop training plans, and schedule training programs that contribute to skills development in areas of critical skills shortage
- Ensure accurate records of employee training and competency within LMS systems for the Project
- Monitor Project and Subcontractor compliance with Sydney Metro Industry Curriculum Program (SMIC) requirements
- Proactively engage with Project managers and subcontractors in relation to compliance with workforce competency requirements
- Develop, customise, procure and support implementation of development programs to meet the Project’s key objectives
- Partner with People Managers to provide support and advice in relation to training strategies
- Deliver presentations, facilitate meetings, welcome inductions and training workshops, and engage with various work groups to achieve desired outcomes
- Coach line managers to understand performance management and development planning methodology, procedures, systems and tools
- Perform all duties in accordance with JCG policies, processes, systems and procedures.
- Monitor and follow up completion of parent company mandatory training requirements
