Description:
CONTINUING, FULL-TIME OPPORTUNITY.
The School of Agriculture, Food and Wine is seeking a continuing Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Agronomy to lead and encourage an environment of creativity and innovation in the Faculty and engage with the broader academic and professional community to promote and enhance the national and international profile of the University.
The successful appointee will have the opportunity to lead the development of new initiatives relating to plant-soil interaction science research that will contribute to the University achieving its ambitions under the Agrifood and Wine FAME strategy. Research outputs are expected to have national and international impacts that are both scientific and practical, and be of a scope and scale to ensure trans-disciplinary collaboration and significant industry/government engagement. The appointee will be encouraged to build on their existing expertise to introduce innovative approaches to teaching and assessment, and contribute collaboratively to curriculum design for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in agronomy, plant-soil science and how this relates to the fields of agriculture and viticulture, in particular.
