Description:
There is the opportunity to join the School of Education within the department of Secondary Education as a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education in the subjects of Art and Design Technology.
There is the opportunity to join the School of Education within the department of Secondary Education as a Senior Lecturer in Initial Teacher Education in the subjects of Art and Design Technology. You will teach across undergraduate and postgraduate initial teacher education courses.
You will possess a good Honours Degree (UK, or IK equivalence) or equivalent experience, a master’s qualification or equivalent experience or be keen to work towards a postgraduate qualification. You should have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS UK) and will have had successful secondary school teaching experience in Art or Design Technology across the secondary age phase (11-19) and experience of subject leadership in Art or Design Technology in secondary education. It would also be advantageous if the you have experience of leading on SEND or adaptive teaching both within or alongside your specialist subject.
You must possess excellent interpersonal skills, be able to demonstrate that you are an excellent communicator and have an exemplary track record within teaching Art or Design Technology in secondary education.
