POSITION DESCRIPTION

This position will see you work closely with the branches of the business including the various commercial managers, project teams and external legal providers to provide the business with sensible and commercial legal solutions and ensure the company’s policies and procedures comply with legislative requirements.

You will be responsible for:

  • Providing legal and commercial advice to the business including assisting the business with documents for tender submissions and ensuring they align with requirements; and
  • Preparing and negotiating contracts through the lifecycle of the projects, including the management of both formal and informal disputes.
  • Assist with coordination and management of external legal counsel.

REQUIREMENTS

The successful candidate will ideally have 8 years’ post admission experience in construction law. Our client is happy to consider lawyers with front or back-end experience as long as they are willing to focus on both front and back-end matters going forward.

  • A strong ability to build relationships with key stakeholders;
  • An ability to solve challenging intellectual and practical problems; and
  • Be driven to deliver results in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
