Our International Law & Global Trading team within our Legal & Compliance business function in Düsseldorf is looking for you!
YOUR PROFILE
- Strong academic background in law with focus on regulatory affairs or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years of experience advising on issues of national and European regulation, particularly in the context of one or more of the following commodities: power, natural gas, coal, oil, freight, emissions, iron ore, and/or LNG
- Specific experience with REMIT, MiFID II, EMIR, MAR, SFTR required
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, judgement, enthusiasm and interpersonal skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment
- Ability to take the lead and work independently on any responsibilities within the job description
- Ability to interact with all levels of management
- Excellent verbal and written command of the English language essential, German language skills are desirable
Responsibilities:
- Advise Uniper’s global energy business on issues of national and European regulation Actively review physical and financial commodity transactions for purposes of regulatory compliance
- Assist in and/or lead internal investigations and responses to internal and external inquiries
- Play a key role in the continuing implementation of energy market and financial regulation requirements
- Create and present live classroom and online trainings for front office and support colleagues
- Coordinate with members of the Legal & Compliance team and all relevant stakeholders (e.g. Business, Risk, Audit) in helping to resolve day-to-day trading compliance issues
- Assist with special projects as needed
