Responsibilities:
We’re on the hunt for a commercially astute legal professional looking for the perfect balance between working autonomously whilst also contributing to a supportive and dedicated in-house Legal team.
In this broad and fast paced role, you will report to the Head of Legal as you strive to deliver solution-focused legal advice in relation to a broad range of matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing legal advice related to strategic development, product development and operational matters
- Reviewing, drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial contracts.
- Advising on statutory compliance issues
- Managing Court orders and statutory requests for information from Government authorities
- Developing standardised agreements and other legal documentation for business efficacy
- Managing registered business names and trademarks and applications for registration of business names and trademarks
- Arranging, preparing and delivering training for business units as required
- Attending before relevant tribunals and courts
- Establishing and maintaining good working relationships with internal stakeholders, industry representatives, suppliers and regulators
- Preparing Committee and Board reporting papers
- Monitoring changes in external and internal environment for new or changing legal and compliance risks
- Proactively identifying risks and recommending actions to avoid, mitigate or accept risks.
