Incredible opportunity to join a leading top tier international law firm and provide high level support within the Competition team. Our client is seeking a full-time proactive and driven Practice Assistant to join their diverse and inclusive firm which offers excellent benefits and development opportunities.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
In this role you will take a proactive approach to providing high level administrative support to three partners and the wider Sydney Competition law team. This role works alongside a part-time Practice Assistant whilst collaborating with the wider national Practice Assistants in the firm’s Competition law teams and will be responsible for duties such as:
- Liaising with and providing high level services to a range of stakeholders
- Managing all facets of the billing process throughout the month
- Updating the firms CRM
- Drafting, amending and formatting correspondence and documents
- Maintaining electronic and paper files and updating client details
- Diary, meeting and travel management
- Reconciliation and expense management
- Opening, closing and archiving of files
- General administrative duties and ad hoc tasks as required
To be successful in this role, you will have a minimum of 2 years of experience within a similar role in a legal environment. Sound knowledge of billing processes is essential and prior experience using Elite is highly desirable. You will also be able to demonstrate the skills and qualities:
- Strong IT proficiency and working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite
- Ability to problem solve and take initiative where appropriate
- Proven time management and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage and adapt to competing priorities
- Professional and clear communication and well-developed interpersonal skill
