About the Opportunity
The Senior Librarian, Access and Inclusion develops and implements interventions that reduce barriers to access and engagement with the Library’s collections and services for people with disability, people experiencing social disadvantage and people with complex needs.
The role facilitates access to specialist and expert advice across State Library Victoria in relation to the needs of people with disability and people experiencing social disadvantage.
About You
The ideal candidate has completed a library and information science qualification or equivalent degree, that confers eligibility for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA). The ideal candidate will also have knowledge on disability and other socially disadvantaged communities and have a good understanding on accessibility and other challenges the communities face. People with a disability or from other socially disadvantaged communities are highly encouraged to apply.
