We offer candidates the opportunity to join our organisation as a Senior Logistics Planner responsible for servicing our Concrete Products and Aggregates business unit and our external customer base. The position is based at our HQ in Dunboyne, Co.Meath and will provide the right candidates with a clear pathway to build a career within Kilsaran.
As a Senior Logistics Planner you will be given the opportunity to learn via a blend of practical and personal development experiences such as:
On the Job learning focused on Kilsaran processes and activities within the CP+A business unit and supply of Concrete products from our manufacturing locations.
Kilsaran logistics system and processes training
Tailored learning though internal or external resources

SKILLS REQUIRED:

5+ years’ experience working in a logistics or dispatch office.
Strong knowledge of systems/detailed administration.
Logistics experience within manufacturing would be beneficial.
Supply Chain or Logistics third level qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities:

Plan the most effective daily transport and delivery schedules for each manufacturing location.
Lead a logistics team to manage our business process for order - delivery including customer service.
Work closely with manufacturing location managers and batching teams to deliver effective production planning, understand location capacity and product capability.
Oversee process orders received via telephone, email, face-to-face or Sales Team.
Responsible for vehicle planning and allocation of fleet to locations to fulfil daily orders.
Ensure all customer orders are delivered within agreed timeframes.
Ensure on-going effective communication with site teams, fleet, production locations, technical and sales.
Understand and achieve specific targets regarding utilisation of trucks, costs and empty journeys.
Work closely with dispatch teams to maximise the utilisation of trucks.
Oversight on the delivery of the right products and material quantities to customers.
