SUMMARY POSITION:

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Sr. Logistics Specialist. Operating within the intricate network of gas, gasoline, and diesel terminals, this role demands a robust understanding of logistics operations coupled with a fervent drive for excellence.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. Majors in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Must have 7+ years of proven experience in the oil and gas industry with a focus on logistics operations.
  • Fluency (speaking and writing) in English.

SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of terminal operations, including inventory management, loading/unloading procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving priorities.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring storage, inland and marine terminals, HES Compliance, quality assurance, volumetric controls, and operational contract performance.
  • Identifies areas of improvement within Terminals, placing HES as the highest priority, participating in face to face or virtual meetings, calls, daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Supports daily operations at Terminals such as attending incidents, access of Marathon Petroleum Peru employees and contractors, documentation errors, customer and carrier complains, inventory and components supply coordination, inspectors coordination, witnessing operations at the Terminal.
  • Works closely with HES, Marketing, Customs, Scheduling, Supply Chain, Quality, Business Development, Waste Management, Loss Control, Accounting, Marine and others to support the business in Peru.
  • Responsible for auditing additive reception and components at terminals
  • Conducts operations and terminals site visits to understand, follow up, and identify areas of opportunity and improvement, with an estimated 25% of trips per year.
