Description:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- You have a B.Sc. Engineering degree.
- You have 5 - 8 years of experience in a machinery development environment.
- You have proven experience at documenting complex large-scale industrial machinery.
- You have excellent grasp on first principles of engineering.
- You are proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and production of detailed drawings.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and are knowledgeable about problem solving techniques (e.g. 8D, Fishbone diagram, etc.).
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As a Senior Machine Development Engineer, your primary purpose is to perform engineering activities related to the development of Svante’s carbon capture machinery. You will take responsibility for the collection of data and documentation such as CAD master models, requirements, FMEA, and DVP&R. You will also ensure that the delivery of each product requirement, characteristic, and attribute is robust, prototype upgrades are completed on time and test plans are executed thoroughly to meet Svante’s ambitious product delivery schedule and deliver carbon capture technology to our customers. You will set the canvas for smooth liaisons between ideas and people and a successful product launch.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN THIS ROLE:
- You will create and maintain the master CAD model and general arrangement drawings.
- You will ensure product design information (e.g. drawings, calculations, analyses, BOM, etc.) is released and archived following the documentation management process.
- You will prepare and transmit documentation packages to be used by vendors and clients.
- You will coordinate activities related to product launch and customer installations as well as issues that may arise during this time.
- You will ensure prototype upgrades are executed thoroughly and on time.
- You will assist the Machine Engineering Lead during the preparation of key product documents (e.g. FMEA, DVP&R, etc.).
