INTRODUCTION:

The Opportunity
Due to internal growth, we have a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Maintenance and Grounds Officer to join our team. Reporting into the Property and Facilities Manager and based at our Forrestdale campus, we are seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the development, maintenance and presentation of Carey’s building, facilities, grounds and sporting fields.

Responsibilities:

  • General building maintenance, upkeep and repairs.
  • Ticket (work request) management and fulfilling in a timely fashion.
  • Oversee the quality and regularity of contracts such as turf management.
  • Engage with contractors on site, and/or across communication channels such as telephone/email/text, streamlining on site jobs that have been requested and planned while ensuring contractual expectations are delivered to a satisfactory standard.
  • Ensure contractors have the appropriate induction when undertaking works on campuses

Who you are

  • You are experienced in irrigation, maintenance and repairs
  • You can demonstrate your sound knowledge in landscaping, sports turf and general maintenance
  • Possess sound attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Hold (or can obtain) a working with children’s check, working at heights tickets and or first aid
  • A self starter with ambition to exceed client expectations
  • Have an understanding and practical approach to work health and safety
  • Hold a relevant trade qualification (preferable)
