Description:

SUMMARY:

The primary function of the Senior Maintenance Coordinator is to inspect, monitor and maintain the facility structure, equipment and surrounding building grounds. This position works with local service providers, inspectors and property asset managers in caring for the overall functional performance of the building. The Senior Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for developing, tracking, maintaining, and implementing the end-to-end Facilities Assets Preventative Maintenance program per the established schedule. The Senior Maintenance Coordinator works with the management team to support all day-to-day mechanical and facility operational needs that support the business.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift and/or walk for duration of scheduled shift.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working at heights of up to thirty-two feet when operating scissor lift and other warehouse lift equipment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associates of Arts (A.A.) degree or 5 or more years of experience working as a Senior Maintenance Technician in a distribution facility.
  • Automated Process Control or Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience.
  • Understanding of and experience with HVAC systems.
  • Previous experience using, training and enforcing Lock-out/Tag-out process, fall protection, and other required OSHA and state required safety regulations.
  • Welding and/or fabrication experience.
  • Extensive mechanical and electrical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.CFM certification or pursuing CFM certification a plus.
  • Formal electrical/electronic, technician or mechanical millwright training, and/or welding experience are a plus.
  • Ability to consistently meet minimum production standards and company service levels.

  • Knowledgeable in standard maintenance practices (i.e. lubrication, adjustments, set-up, calibration, etc.)
  • Able to use standard hand/power tools and shop equipment.
  • Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiar with P/Pd.M. practices.
  • Demonstrate an enthusiastic and professional demeanor

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF JOB:

  • Accurately complete Preventive and Predictive Maintenance tasks on motorized material handling equipment, conveyor belts and building HVAC systems.
  • Assess, perform and properly document equipment and facility preventative maintenance, cleaning and repair activities.
  • Conduct material handling equipment certification training.
  • Conduct required OSHA and state-mandated training.
  • Anticipate potential facility and equipment problems and assist in the development of a plan to prevent the problem from affecting the department’s operation.
  • Competently and accurately complete equipment repairs and upgrades.
  • Provide training and guidance to Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation associates to assist in their career development and skills enhancement.
  • Communicate work related information and company announcements to maintenance and sanitation staff.
  • Maintain company and required OSHA and state-mandated standards for safety, sanitation and housekeeping.
  • Be an active listener and communicate to the appropriate person any issues or complaints from associates.
  • Ensure that Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation associates meet performance standards and comply with safety policies and regulations.
  • Use appropriate communication and motivational techniques to elicit maximum performance levels from Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation associates.
  • Document and submit to the Director of Operations and Human Resources any department injury, attendance, safety or disciplinary issue.
  • Provide information to management concerning Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation associates work performance.
  • Assist in the set up, tear down and clean up of all company social functions, meetings and events.
  • Work with vendors and contractors on the installation, training and acceptance of equipment or construction based on quality workmanship and meeting specified criteria.
  • Follow all Company, state and OSHA safety rules, policies and regulations to ensure safe working practices, including proper work attire; report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate management personnel.
  • Comply with all Company Loss Prevention policies and procedures, including proper work attire.
  • Maintain acceptable attendance as set by Sephora company policy and set an example for other associates.
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs.
  • Provide general labor or perform custodial and other duties as required.
  • Provide high quality internal and external customer service per company standards.

No direct reports. In-direct supervision of Maintenance Technicians and Sanitation associates for training, daily work assignments, and work schedules.
