GENERAL SUMMARY

As a multi-skilled maintenance engineer, you will be a member of a multi skilled team responsible for the continuous upkeep and improvement of the site facilities and assets. Duties include carrying out planned and reactive maintenance along with project work.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of maintaining manufacturing machinery and facilities.

  • Experience on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Completion of a recognised Apprenticeship.
  • Experience with CNC machine control systems (Siemens and Mazak preferable).
  • Experience in lifting and slinging.
  • The ability to work as part of a multi-function team preferably in a heavy engineering manufacturing environment.
  • Have an understanding and experience of lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbally.
  • IPAF or equivalent certification (desirable).
  • Forklift truck counterbalance license (desirable).
  • Basic electrical experience or working knowledge (desirable).
  • Experience of using a CMMS system (desirable).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (desirable).

Responsibilities:

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Service and repair manual and CNC machinery, carrying out diagnostics and implementing suitable repairs.

  • Maintenance of site infrastructure, plant and equipment including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

  • Assist in developing maintenance procedures and programs.
  • Ensure that health, safety and environmental guidelines are followed.
  • Understand drawings and O&M manuals, assisting in identifying and sourcing components.
  • Provide on-going support and training to peers and apprentices where required.
  • Be available for further training if required.
  • Responsible for your own quality of work, self-inspection and completion of paperwork and applicable checklists are required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and project activities when required.
