You will be joining a highly reputable non-for-profit organisation responsible for providing services and care to ageing Australians. This is made up of multiple residential aged care facilities based across the Sydney region. This covers all aspects, from clinical and nursing services to the running of residential aged care facilities. They are looking for someone to join their flagship high-end site to oversee all aspects of maintenance on the site.

YOUR NEW ROLE

You will be joining the company as a Maintenance Supervisor/Senior Maintenance Officer. This role will be roughly a 50/50 split with being in the office and doing management duties and also doing hands-on maintenance work. You will be responsible for 1 other maintenance officer on site and be a key part of dealing with internal stakeholders and contractor management. In this role you will be reporting to the general manager and will ultimately be responsible for the maintenance of the facility, so you will be required to do administration tasks and will be responsible for accurate record keeping. Your general responsibilities are as follows :

• Overseeing the maintenance program for our facility
• Managing contractors and external trade
• Performing general maintenance work on site, this can be from painting/patching, basic carpentry, basic plumbing etc.
• Assisting in minor building works across various disciplines as required
• Support of any major works projects as required
• Maintaining the sites’ preventative maintenance programs
• Ensuring WHS and other compliance obligations are current and adhered to
• Seeking multiple quotes for work and assessing the scope
• Issuing purchase orders
