Reporting to the Assistant Director of the Applied Research Office (ARO), the Senior Manager holds the responsibility of supporting the division’s endeavours in grants management and SIT’s applied research initiatives.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or an equivalent field, along with a minimum of 10 years of work experience, including at least 5 years in management and leadership roles
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with a proven track record in project management, change management, and stakeholder engagement
  • Substantial experience in grant management and/or strategy
  • Good interpersonal, communication and organisational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders is a must
  • Resourceful and capable of working independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities:

  • Execution of various grant administrative tasks from pre- to post-award. This includes launching of grant calls, conducting administrative checks on proposals, performance monitoring, facilitation of project variations, claims and audits, and resolving project-related issues and challenges
  • Assist and empower academic staff in project management, and to function as the liaison between research teams, Host Institutions, and Grantors
  • Engage SIT’s strategic partners at the operational level to support Applied Research initiatives
  • Spearhead impactful projects to foster collaborations with SIT’s strategic partners and/or to optimise operational efficiency in SIT
  • Support refinement to the grant management framework and administrative processes to facilitate Applied Research efforts, with effective communication of updates to key stakeholders (e.g. Academic staff, Human Resources, Finance, Advancement & Alumni)
  • Other relevant duties and tasks as assigned
