    The team
    The Digital, Data & Technology (DD&T) group is responsible for delivering transformational change and key technology related operational services across ASIC. The DD&T group includes: Information Technology, Cyber Security, Data, Digital, EPPO (Enterprise Planning Performance Office) and Registry Connect (modernising ASIC’s Business Registers).
    The DD&T BMU is the team responsible for directing and supporting business management and support services for the Group. This team works closely with DD&T Group Senior Executives and Senior Managers to deliver integrated and timely central management services and to ensure these services are delivered in line with ASIC wide priorities.

The role:You will be accountable for:

  • Innovative, strategic business operational solutions in the establishment and implementation of group strategies, and processes to reduce costs and streamline processes.
  • Oversight of the DD&T consolidated budget, business continuity planning, risk management, audit, business continuity governance practices and compliance management.
  • Timely and accurate advice to the Leadership group for the enablement of flexible, responsive executive administration.
  • Internal and external communication, triaging of questions on notice, FOI requests using relevant group and ASIC information and data gathered from across business units.
  • Improved business outcomes by developing reports, monitoring data, proposing solutions and following up senior executives to ensure business strategies are met.
  • The provision of Executive Assistant support to DD&T SELs ensuring consistent and effective executive administration support.

Responsibilities:

AS A SENIOR MANAGER YOU ARE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:

  • Providing strategic input into the business plan process with the Leadership team, ensuring budget, resourcing and risk identification is accurate.
  • Developing, embedding, and monitoring an integrated strategic and project plan on what DD&T is to deliver.
  • Analysing, monitoring, reporting on and providing insights on the performance and complex delivery of the Group strategic, project and business plans.
  • Leading the management of the Group’s operational risk, business continuity, compliance, internal audit obligations.
  • Achieving business goals set for you and providing an environment that allows your team to be effective and satisfied with their work while developing their full potential.
  • Your own personal effectiveness & the output and behaviour of your team.
  • Building and leading an effective team so that each member is fully committed to and capable of moving in the direction set.
  • Recommending system improvements to optimise long term outcomes and maximise performance.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience in business administration in the private or government sector.
  • Well-developed strategic thinking, problem solving and analytical skills as evidenced through experience at a senior management level.
  • Experience exercising sound judgement to select the most appropriate solution and to implement in an operational environment.
  • Patience, resilience, and the capacity to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong management and leadership skills including the ability to build high functioning teams and positively influence others to achieve results.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills and the ability to work to meet deadlines while managing several competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship building skills, with the ability to negotiate and consult to engage all levels of the organisation and develop effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and presentation skills including business case development, data analysis and insight, and report writing.
