Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred. Other combinations of job-related experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 to 7 years of experience or more preferred in category management, convenience store merchandising, operations, or related retail industry; including three years management experience.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Relationship management, acute ability to influence, financial acumen and analytical skills are required.
  • Must be able to work independently or collaboratively, in a fast paced, frequently changing business environment.
  • Proficient with MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Bilingualism is mandatory (French and English) in both written and spoken languages, as the person will be required to serve English-speaking regions.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organized and dynamic individual to join our team as a Brand and POP Senior Manager, in Canada Business Area team. The Brand and POP Senior Manager is responsible for supporting the implementation of multiple business unit’s Fuel & Merchandise Marketing strategy to attain key business objectives. The Brand and POP Senior Manager will work with the Marketing & Merchandising Departments, both National and business unit level, in the development of localized marketing and advertising campaigns to support product promotions and overall store exposure. This role will support the execution of the National and Business Area sales plans with signage execution.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Responsible for ensuring that the organization has a positive perception among important stakeholders, such as customers, business partners and the media.
  • Responsible for managing internal communications, reactive media relations, and planning and implementing PR campaigns to support local marketing initiatives.
  • Sets the objectives and measurable results for individual plans, allocates budgets and outlines the scope and timeframe of each project (to include POP, Business Area and national media buys and related mediums).
  • Assist National and business unit levels with planning and coordination of all printed and digital sign programming; to include Fuel and Merch marketing.
  • Assists the business units with planning and implementing local public relations campaigns, as needed (grand openings, post renovation campaigns).
  • Management of internal sales plan communications content for the national level and coordination and integration of Business unit specific sales plans.
  • Providing content for external digital channels when needed for responsible business units (web site, social media channels).
  • Crisis communication planning and preparation, as needed by business units.
  • Participation in communications network / weekly communications reporting, as needed at the Business Area level.
