ING Australia are hiring for a Senior Manager, Business Planning & Performance. This position will be part of the Strategy & Planning team that plays a critical role in the annual strategy, business performance management and planning. The role covers a broad remit including forecasting and monitoring business performance, business case development and review and leading strategic analysis to support continued organisation growth and transformation.
This critical role works closely with Finance business partners, Treasury, Risk and product tribes to maintain an integrated view of run and change investment, revenue forecasting and growth and Retail funding - providing a consolidated view of business performance to support effective management decision making, strategy setting and communication for the Retail Bank Leadership Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the budgeting/ target setting process, coordinating across Retail teams and working with Finance and other bank Business Management/ Planning functions (Operations, Technology)
  • Work with Retail tribes to manage the monthly performance forecasting and financial management activities including revenue and expense forecasting and reporting
  • Lead action planning to address gaps and stretch objectives across the Retail P&L and drive course correction as needed
  • Play a key role in day to day financial control and expense management activities, identifying opportunities to optimise expense base and achieve management objectives (incremental and transformative)
  • Ad hoc analysis and financial modelling to support business initiatives/ business cases, develop opportunities and analyse performance of completed initiatives (benefits realisation) including M&A activities as needed
  • Work with Finance and Strategy teams globally to support thematic analysis, define key business metrics and track and deliver business targets
