SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

An experienced Compliance professional who brings credibility and gravitas and is used to working globally in a fast-paced environment.

  • They will be a problem solver with a track record of practical implementation of regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of the FX regulatory environment, including current and developing landscape.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of regulated activity in region. Experience of the Singapore regulatory framework, but we also operate in Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Thailand and more!
  • Knowledge of regulations / market practice in other jurisdictions and regions, such as UK, Europe and US, is desirable.
  • Excellent engagement with business and functional colleagues in providing advice on a wide range of issues.
  • Strong organisational skills to adapt to and manage a dynamic, evolving workflow.

Responsibilities:

ROLE PROFILE

The role is to be the Compliance lead in Asia for the FX business within the Capital Markets division of the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). The candidate will work within a team of Compliance professionals providing regulatory guidance and advice to ensure that our activities across the globe are conducted in compliance with regulatory expectations. They will work alongside the FX leadership team, supporting the regional business, and within the broader Legal and Compliance division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for being the primary point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters relating to the operation of FX trading venues in APAC. The role will work closely with the broader compliance teams to ensure we deliver solutions and the compliance framework across all jurisdictions and entities.

  • Timely identification, analysis and communication of regulatory developments or matters arising.
  • Provide compliance advice and assurance to the FX businesses/entities, including accurately reporting to management and the Boards and Risk Committees.
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with the other control functions (Risk, Legal, Internal Audit) and regulators.
  • Develop, implement and maintain compliance processes to mitigate and report on risks, including horizon scanning, periodic risk assessment and MI reporting.
