REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Business, Law, Finance or any related discipline
- At least 8 years experience in a Data Protection Office, Privacy Risk, Privacy Compliance or Privacy Legal function
- Proven leadership to guide and drive compliance efforts with the organisation
- Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills to assess compliance requirements and identify areas of risk and develop effective solutions to compliance challenges
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey compliance issues clearly.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and ensure that the organisation adheres to internal compliance and corporate framework, with alignment to relevant laws and regulations including personal data protection.
- Monitor and assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations through the conduct of regular non-IT audits and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, formulate and review compliance policies and procedures to align with revisions and to communicate the changes to the organisation.
- Engage and collaborate with different divisions and departments to review controls to achieve compliance to relevant laws and regulations by identifying potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. This includes developing and implementing corrective action plans to mitigate risks.
- Develop and provide training to employees on risk control and compliance matters as well as ongoing briefing to update employees on arising or new legislative issues/concerns.
- Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness and to liaise with PDPC on data protection matters and provide advice and guidance to stakeholders to ensure compliance with PDPA
- Oversee subsidiaries’ compliance to PDPA and identify potential areas of vulnerabilities and propose measures to manage risks
- Prepare annual personal data audit plans and supervise quarterly audits and conduct training and assessment programmes for staff corporate governance
- Maintain company corporate governance framework to ensure compliance to Corporate Governance Framework for HQ Related Organisations (MRO)
- Assist in the continued implementation of the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing policy, through working closely with relevant business units and liaise with HQ and internal stakeholders on projects and initiatives
- Oversee the preparation of regular compliance reports for update to management and regulatory authorities and maintenance of accurate and organised compliance documentation.
- Investigate and address reports of compliance policy violation and personal data breach.
