Job Description
As a Senior Manager for Data Warehouse systems, You will oversee the design, implementation, and optimization of Cornerstone Building Brands’ data warehouse infrastructure, including development and operational support. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless integration of data sources and support the development of effective data solutions to enhance overall business analytics and data needs.

Essential Functions

  • Manages the tactical and strategic initiatives covering the infrastructure, implementation, integration, maintenance, support, security, and performance of data warehouse systems and projects
  • Leads teams to create a vision for how data elements from multiple sources should fit together as a whole and execute on that plan to mature the business towards a data-driven organization
  • Drive advocacy, adoption, and business satisfaction of the data warehouse through value generation, advanced reporting, integration of feedback, and multi-year product roadmap
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for seamless data integration from various sources into the data warehouse
  • Ensures data pipelines are efficient, scalable, and reliable, and that data models are designed to meet business requirements
  • Installs processes for auditing data warehouses and ensuring data quality - establishing data governance policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate complex data sets into visually compelling insights
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and industry standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical project management, with a focus on data warehouse projects
  • 4+ years’ experience with ETL tools similar to Azure ADF, AWS Glue or dbt
  • Proven track record of successfully leading EDW projects from conception to delivery in a corporate environment
  • Well-versed in data pipelining, data warehousing, data modeling, batch/stream processing and associated architectures, database performance, and reporting metrics
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and cloud computing concepts, utilizing platforms similar to Azure, AWS or GCP
  • Hands-on experience with relevant technologies and tools such as SQL, Python, UNIX/Linux, Shell Scripting, DBT, distributed data processing, and software development methodologies
  • Proficient understanding of BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau)
  • Optimize ETL workflows to enhance data processing speed and efficiency
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of the data warehouse, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies
  • Implement best practices for indexing, partitioning, and query optimization
  • Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive data within the data warehouse
