Description:
We are seeking an outstanding candidate to fill in the role of Senior Manager, Digital Solutions, who combines demonstrated business acumen in ship management with hands-on technology expertise. This person is highly motivated and relishes designing, developing, and operating the systems and solutions supporting Anglo-Eastern’s ship management services.
Job description
Reporting directly to the Head of Ship Management Solutions, anchored under the C-suite of the organisation, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a diverse set of stakeholders across QHSE, Technical, Operations, Marine HR supporting the communication, prioritisation and administration of requirements towards vendor(s).
- Defining and maintaining a product vision that supports the company’s overall strategy and goals, contributing to the roadmap and architecture of AE’s overall technology portfolio on board and ashore.
- Engaging with users at all levels, building rapport to drive successful adoption among users; being an agent of innovation and change
- Designing solutions through wire-framing, process and experience mapping and ensuring sign-off by relevant stakeholders
- Mapping requirements, researching solutions, articulating risks and barriers, recommending approaches, planning full project life cycles
- Collaborating with other solution leads to ensure seamless integration of information and experiences across processes
- Directing and supporting vendors to develop, test and maintain functionality and features
- Developing training materials and supporting the delivery of these as necessary
- Taking a hands-on approach to diagnosing problems and taking the necessary actions to resolve them
- Collaborating with subject matter experts across the organisation to develop and implement improvement.
Job Requirement
- A global mindset and a minimum of 8 years of industry experience
- Have sailed as a Master/Chief Engineer on board and has an in-depth understanding of shipboard systems as well as management office experience.
- Knowledge and experience in ship management, specifically:
- Quality Assurance
Management office audits (DOCs / TMSA / DBMS etc)
Vessel Operations, Inspections and Audits
- The tenacity to quickly comprehend complex problems and opportunities and to create innovative solutions.
- Interest and experience in information technology hardware & software
- Proven ability to manage vendors and execute projects.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly in system design and user interface/experience
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to different cultures and ways of working.
- The people skills required to work across users, analysts, designers, developers and business managers.
- A strong desire for fun on the job as well as deep commitment to personal development
