SENIOR MANAGER EMBEDDED SOFTWARE AND CONNECTED SOLUTIONS - WESTHAUSEN

SUMMARY

You are responsible for the specification, design, implementation, and documentation of embedded software for our high-performance tightening systems within our global R&D team. As an experienced Senior Software Engineer, your profound professional experience enables you to solve technical issues and challenges quickly and sustainably. You work closely together with other functions to ensure the high performance of cutting-edge tightening products for automotive OEM assembly lines.

Critical Skills & Requirements:

• Degree in electrical engineering, computer science, telecommunications, physics or a comparable qualification
• At least three years of experience in leading embedded software engineers
• Expert knowledge in microcontroller hardware interfaces like SPI, I2C, UART, etc.
• Solid understanding of Embedded operating systems (QNX, Linux, RTOS), Software frameworks and middleware for embedded systems
• Authoritative working experience in embedded software development and testing
• Expert knowledge in C/C ++, Assembler and scripting languages such as BASH or Python
• Solid knowledge of wireless communication technologies, Network and hardware communication protocols (like TCP/IP, IP, CAN, ProfiNet)
• Fluent in German and Englis

• Manage a team of 7+ embedded software engineers
• Take an active role in design decisions for embedded architectures for our controller and tightening tools portfolio
• Drive existing communication modules into a modular connected solution
• Collaboration with system architects, hardware development team, project managers and our QA team
• Strong cooperation with suppliers, as well as with internal and external customers
• Manage design and code reviews, promotion of improvements, estimation of work effort
• Drive the delivery of software releases as projected
• Prepare feasibility studies, technical concepts, prototyping and troubleshooting tools
