They key goal of the Senior Manager, Expert IFRS is to ensure the correct mapping of complex company-specific accounting, valuation and reporting questions according to IFRS as well as the creation and maintenance of the group accounting guidelines. Furthermore this role aims the support in ensuring the preparation of timely, automated and accurate consolidated financial statements for the FME Group in accordance with the applicable accounting regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Completion of a Business Administration degree with focus on Accounting/Auditing
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Accountant qualification would be an advantage
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in industry/accounting
  • Sounds knowledge of IFRS
  • Applying strong accounting expertise to make business decisions to combine the requirements of IFRS accounting
  • A sense of urgency and a hands-on approach, while maintaining a focus on compliance legal regulations in global cooperation
  • Structured and distinctive analytical way of working as well as motivation and resilience and high quality standards
  • Good communication skills, a high degree of team orientation and initiative with willingness to deal critically with new complex issues
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Fluent in written and spoken German and English
  • Willingness to work flexible hours

Responsibilities:

  • Competent contact person for complex company specific accounting and valuation issues
  • Tracking, implementation and analysis of changes in IRFS accounting requirements and relates notes disclosures
  • Support for domestic and foreign subsidiaries with accounting issues according to IRFS and the corresponding reporting
  • Advising the management on existing accounting and selection rights as well as the creation of technical concepts and coordination of implementation in the department
  • Creating and maintenance of the group accounting guidelines
  • Coordinating the creation and maintenance of group chart of accounts and corresponding group accounting policies
  • Overarching projects to develop solutions when implementing changes in Accounting requirements and the further development of implemented processes
  • Create of selected disclosures in the notes
  • Coordinate and creation of Non-IRFS Policies (SAB 99 Analysis)
  • Participation in the preparation of the consolidated quarterly and annual financial statements according to international standards accounting
