Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager, Facility Services, for the Structure team plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the strategic program management for the facility structure programs for all Walmart US and PR stores. This position is responsible for the development and execution of all planned capital projects, end to end asset strategy, and leading a team of subject matter experts for the roofing, interior and exterior building structure, flooring, interior finishes, exterior paint, interior and exterior signs.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Drives the development and execution of business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.
  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintains relationships and supports internal stakeholders by identifying improvement opportunities and recommending enhancing the performance of assets, improving the facility programs efficiency, performance, and facilitating corrective action plans.
  • Supports financial planning by analyzing historical data and developing future budget projection; establishing maintenance/repair spend plans to achieve annual operating performance objectives for the business; establishing capital expenditure spend plans to achieve annual capital expenditure objectives for the business; developing and managing maintenance and repair financial tools to support business making decisions for operating expense; developing and managing capital financial tools to make total cost of ownership decisions regarding repair or end of life replacements; collaborating with leaders to communicate budgets and forecasts.
  • Supports vendor and customer service needs by establishing contracts with set service-level agreements; maintaining data files on repairs and modifications; communicating corporate and industry standards to vendors; ensuring compliance to standards; and evaluating KPI metrics for vendor performance.
  • Assists in managing the department budget by gathering and analyzing trending data; validating spend related to materials and labor; reviewing facility related invoicing by set procedure; developing reports; approving spending proposals at set spending limit; managing warranty reimbursement; and assisting internal teams with landlord compliance and lease agreements, and assisting the execution of bid events and awards.
  • Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.
  • Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field and 4 years’ experience in facilities management,
construction management, engineering, or related area OR 6 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, engineering,
or related area.
