Description:

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner to join us in London on a 12 month secondment.
The Senior Manager, Finance Business Partner will partner the Divisional MD and leadership team responsible for ensuring financial discipline and transparency and assessments on Capital Allocation is rigorously applied.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing finance business partnership to the MD and supporting the MD in realising their (financial) objectives
  • Supporting the MD in improving efficiency of the function as well as ensuring all services are correctly priced and charged to customers; act as financial interface with customers together with the leadership team
  • Ensuring the production of monthly financial information to enable the MD monitor the performance of the business/Service Company; and benchmark with other similar businesses
  • Enable an efficient process and tooling to facilitate financial reviews for monthly actual and forecast as well as budget cycle
  • Responsible for forecast accuracy and overview of risks and opportunities
  • Lead the process in collaboration with the Capital Strategy Team to set LRP strategy and pro-actively analyse results to redirect where required
  • Challenge group performance and initiate improvement /close the gap initiatives
  • Review business cases from a financial perspective on rationale and perform post mortem analysis
  • Drive the planning and control framework into the capital governance process via the Capital Investment Committee (CIC) and Portfolio Investment Board (PIB) where applicable
  • Continuously seek to strengthen and optimise the wider Group Control teams way of working through initiatives such as further P2P optimisation as well as standardised working practices.
  • Responsible for the financial translation of business issues and developments
  • Create and foster a proactive approach to smarter, cost effective support and implementation models that challenge status quo

We tend to look for people with:

  • Accounting qualification, i.e. CIMA, ACCA, ACA
  • Strong record of performance working in a similar role, in a complex environment
  • Analytically strong and pragmatic with a long term vision
  • Ability to apply sound business practices and work with senior management
  • Results driven, output focused team player
  • Experience of translating budgets in business cases into operational impact assessments
  • Knowledge of USGAAP, Accounting principles & SOX guidelines
