Description:

As the lead of the group’s financial reporting and controlling team, this role will focus primarily on financial reporting and controlling initiatives to drive the preparation of quality Group financial statements that are compliant to IFRS.

QUALIFICATIONS/ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor degree in Commerce/Accounting, CPA/CA qualification.
  • Minimum 9 years of relevant financial reporting and audit experience, with at least 7 years in a reputable accounting firm, preferably as a member of the technical team
  • Candidates with prior IPO-advisory experience, handling audits of clients from the healthcare sector would be considered favorably.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, firm grasp of group consolidation, and strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Self-motivated team player who is able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Can do, curious attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong grasp of Microsoft Office, particularly excel skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the preparation of the group consolidated financial statements and any other quarterly reporting, ensuring compliance with prevailing accounting standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure the Group’s compliance to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and drive the adoption of any mandatory changes and updates to accounting standards across the business units/countries.
  • Drive the Group audit and preparation of the Group’s audited financial statements.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of local statutory audits of all group entities.
  • Continually review the Group’s financial reporting process for improvement opportunities and, if needed, initiate measures to elevate the reporting process.
  • Provide guidance and support to business units/countries on consolidation and account standards matters.
  • Assist the Group with technical accounting research under IFRS as required.
  • Support with initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, IPO preparation, etc as needed.
  • Responsible for update of the Group’s Finance Manual and ensure adherence to the Group’s accounting policies by the countries/business units.
  • Any other duties and projects as assigned.
