You will be part of Westpac Growth Labs; the Innovation and Research & Development (R&D) function within the Chief Technology Office. Growth Labs exists to future-ready Westpac. We coordinate a portfolio of experiments with new and transformative technologies, spanning from ‘big bets’ that could redefine the future of financial services, to the enablers and tooling required to accelerate innovation across the bank. As a Senior Manager , a typical day might include the following:
- Collaborate with a broad range of people; from deep technical experts to senior leaders across the organisation.
- Design an experiment to evaluate a new technology capability; ensure it will generate useful insight into its value, help us understand the risks it may entail, and crystalise potential applications when the time is right.
- Collaborate with your project team on live experiments – make sure they’re on track, and objectives are clear.
- Write an Executive Briefing on an emerging technology and its implications for the bank, e.g., Generative AI, Digital Assets, Quantum Computing.
- Facilitate hybrid and face-to-face workshops in our Sydney CBD Growth Lab space.
- Engage people from across the organisation with new and emerging technology.
