Overview of the Role
An Insights leader and key business partner dedicated to delivering consumer, shopper, category, and customer insights to support commercial strategy development and drive profitable category growth.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Leverage both custom and syndicated data to extract insights and provide actionable recommendations
  • Proactively conduct category analysis to highlight issues and opportunities
  • Identify consumer and shopper research needs, lead end-to-end research process
  • Ensure that research is fully leveraged, and insights are socialized within the organization
  • Collaborate with VP and key stakeholders to develop category strategy and deliver on plans
  • Track strategic KPIs, conduct analysis to explain results, provide recommendations to achieve targets
  • Support Sales team with category analysis, identification of growth opportunities and presentation of recommendations
  • Provide recommendations on product assortment, planogram development, pricing and promotions
  • Contribute to Innovation by highlighting emerging trends and category white space opportunities, support with new product business case development and post launch tracking
  • Support marketing on brand and pack design research, marketing plans and consumer communications
  • Inspire and mentor direct reports to promote insights and analytics excellence
  • Support and maintain Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • University degree – Business preferred
  • 5+ years progressive Category management/Customer insights/Strategy or related experience in the CPG industry
  • Solid analytical skills with the ability to extract key insights and turn them in to action
  • Innately curious and proactive in developing deep understanding of the consumer and shopper
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with proven ability to develop compelling category stories
  • Strong business acumen with ability to influence key stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Able to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong knowledge of NielsenIQ MarketTrack and retailer POS / shopper data systems
  • Experience leading market research and managing suppliers
  • Solid understanding of Canadian Retail CPG industry (Foodservice an asset)
