Description:

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of relevant management experience in higher education administration or a related field, with a proven track record of achieving recruitment and revenue targets.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and management skills, inspiring and motivating teams towards common goals.
  • Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth and success.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and external partners.
  • International Experience: Experience working in a multicultural and international environment is preferred.
  • Networking: Established a network of contacts in the education sector and/or relevant industries.
  • Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and circumstances.

DESIRABLE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working sensitively with people from different cultural backgrounds.
  • IT skills and experience in using online marketing packages.
  • Minimum 10 years experience managing corporate relations, adult education, and familiarity with Asian markets.
  • Be self-motivated, efficient, mature, independent, outgoing, can work under pressure and be attentive to details
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel and work overtime.

Responsibilities:

OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The post holder, as the Deputy Director/Senior Manager, will not only support the Centre’s regional operations but also spearhead recruitment endeavours, revenue generation initiatives, and corporate relations. This role is crucial in expanding postgraduate and executive education programs and forging strategic partnerships in ASEAN, bolstering the SE Asia Centre’s growth trajectory. Through adept support and leadership, the Senior Manager plays a pivotal role in fulfilling the Centre’s mission of delivering quality education in the region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Regional operations: Develop plans to implement efficiency measures and best practices, laying the groundwork for optimised operations and enhanced effectiveness between Singapore and regional operations.
  • Drive Recruitment Numbers and Revenue Growth: Develop and execute strategic plans to increase student recruitment numbers for postgraduate and executive education programs. Implement marketing initiatives and partnerships to enhance revenue streams. Develop innovative marketing strategies, leveraging digital platforms and targeted campaigns to reach prospective students. Forge strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to diversify revenue streams and enhance financial sustainability.
  • Develop Corporate and Institutional Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with corporate partners, educational institutions, and relevant stakeholders to foster collaborative ventures, sponsorships, and other mutually beneficial opportunities. Identify synergies and areas for collaboration to enhance the Centre’s reputation and expand its influence in the region’s educational landscape.
  • Engage alumni networks: Foster relationships through events and online platforms and promote cross-selling of programmes. Gather feedback on experiences and leverage alumni credibility to advocate for additional offerings

ACCOUNTABILITIES OR DUTIES:

  • Market Analysis and Programme Development : Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify program expansion and differentiation opportunities. Provide strategic recommendations to capitalise on market insights and drive continuous improvement in programme offerings.
  • Drive and lead recruitment initiatives: Take a proactive lead by orchestrating targeted outreach activities and engaging with prospective students and companies to communicate the value proposition of the Centre’s programmes. Develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talents in the region and achieve enrolment targets.
  • Lead alumni engagement for cross-selling initiatives: Utilize events and online platforms to gather feedback and leverage alumni influence. Drive increased program participation through proactive alumni involvement.
  • Alignment with University Policies and Standards. Coordinate with department heads and staff to ensure alignment with university policies, procedures, and quality standards.
