Job Purpose - As Senior Manager-KYC at Emirates NBD, your role is to
- Manage and oversee the process of conducting comprehensive due diligence for Business Banking customers including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures. This includes reviewing customers both periodically and upon trigger.
- Compliance: Adhering to the Governance, Risk and Compliance policies of the segment, the bank and with applicable regulations. Ensuring the appropriateness of the documentation submitted for risk assessment and transaction monitoring purposes for existing clients. Reviewing the CDD/KYC policies and procedures in close coordination with Group Compliance to ensure agreement with industry regulations and best practices
- Operations Management: Managing the end-to-end KYC/CDD process for the segment. Ensuring all operational matter closure within due time and adherence to bank policy and procedures. Managing compliance requirements, operationalization and streamlining of these requirements within the team. Engaging with Frontline teams, Operations, Governance and Compliance teams for support. Providing regular reports and other management reports to Senior Management on KYC/CDD related matters
- Team Management: Managing teams responsible for CDD/KYC, ensuring the productivity of the team to complete reviews within set timelines, work on complete engagement and process improvement
Stakeholder Management: Ensuring building productive relationships with various stakeholders within the business, Compliance and Operations. teams. Engaging with Frontline teams, Operations, Governance and Compliance teams for support. Providing regular reports and other management reports to Senior Management on KYC/CDD related mattersAudits/Regulatory Reviews: Supporting both internal and external audits related to CDD/KYC to ensure audits are conducted efficiently and any findings are addressed appropriately
Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of KYC specialists with regards to ongoing reviews of existing accounts both periodically and upon trigger to ensure that regulatory and Compliance requirements are met
- Manage the team in identifying, verifying, documenting, and escalating any irregularities/gaps and where exceptions are identified that they are approved as per delegated authorities
- Ensure that the Team conducts thorough Customer Risk Assessments based on customer profiles, transactional activity, and other relevant factors to determine the appropriate level of due diligence required
- Work closely with the Business and other stakeholders to support the review process of the Business Banking Customers and to explain/coordinate the require Support checkers by reviewing cases and monitoring TAT of Reviewed cases
- Regular MI and trend analysis to be provided to Senior Management to enable risk appetite decisions
- Oversee the KYC teams and control functions within the teamEngage with RMs/Business on feedback and case management
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE…
- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- The incumbent will have at a min of 8-10 years of banking experience with at least 4 years of experience in carrying out CDD reviews.
- UAE experience preferred with an understanding of local corporates/structures etc.
- At least 3 to 5 years managing teams preferably in KYC/CDD/Compliance related OperationsMust be from Compliance and Operations background with knowledge of CDD/KYC and other regulatory requirements.
