JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager of Planning, Scheduling & Inventory Control will lead and optimize the company’s demand and inventory control operations. This role involves developing and implementing strategic plans for demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory management to ensure efficient operations and meet business objectives. The role requires strong leadership skills, experience in supply chain management, and a deep understanding of inventory control processes. They will be responsible for driving process improvements, managing supplier relationships, and mitigating risks to ensure the timely delivery of products and optimal inventory levels.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to adapt to fast paced environment with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or related field
  • APICS certification preferred
  • 4+ years’ experience in Supply Chain management
  • Experience with ERP programs
  • HACCP Training/Certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Operate standard office equipment
  • Reach with hands and arms
  • Lift up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and manage the planning, scheduling, and inventory control teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  • Team Development: Lead and mentor the planning, scheduling, and inventory control teams, with a strong focus on coaching individuals to develop their skills, providing regular feedback, conducting performance reviews, and creating comprehensive development plans that align with both personal career goals and organizational objectives.
  • Continuous Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to optimize planning, scheduling, and inventory control processes, aligning them with overall business goals.
  • Demand Forecasting: Oversee demand forecasting activities to ensure accurate predictions of future inventory needs based on historical data and operation trends.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet customer demand while minimizing costs associated with holding and ordering inventory.
  • Scheduling Optimization: Develop and manage production schedules to maximize efficiency, minimize downtime, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analysis to monitor performance, identify trends, and generate reports that provide insights into inventory levels, production schedules, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks related to inventory shortages, excess inventory, and supply chain disruptions.
  • Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all planning, scheduling, and inventory control activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Develop and oversee tools for the inventory control team focusing on the following metrics:
  • Job Costing Analysis
  • Validation of Bills of Material
  • ERP system consumptions and verifications
  • Clients System managements Client Reporting
  • Inventory Audit
  • Inventory Accuracy
  • Enforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management
