Description:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Background in Manufacturing Support in a high-mix factory
  • Ability to work across the organization vertically and horizontally.
  • Strong verbal and communications skills.
  • Willingness to take charge and provide direction.
  • Results oriented, willingness to commit to a direction and drive operations to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage adversity and challenging situations.
  • Ability to drive consensus and change across a complex matrixed organization.

Responsibilities:

POSITION ROLE TYPE:

This role is part of the Operations Technology Program Management organization within the Avionics strategic business unit at Collins Aerospace. This role’s focus will be defining and developing Industry 4.0 strategies by blending Smart Manufacturing technologies, and digital solutions to create a modernized factory and operational awareness. This role would partner with colleagues across Collins and RTX businesses to transform Avionics through Industry 4.0 strategies. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic champion of advanced technologies, tools and analytics.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

  • Facilitates tasks and activities with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with operations and executive leadership.
  • Establishes new technology concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for research, development, integration, and test.
  • Generation of insights and drawing business conclusions that aid in prioritization and focus areas.
  • Uses data to support strategic decision making across the organization.
  • Can apply data and information in a way that will help mature our operational awareness.
  • Directs all program phases from inception through completion. Interfaces with customers for project specifications to ensure successful completion.
  • Manages the cost, schedule and performance of programs or subsystems of major programs.
  • Travel Expectations: 25% travel with potential needs for extended assignments for key business activities
