As we continue to grow and evolve, we recognize the critical role that organizational development plays in our success. That’s why we’re seeking a Senior Manager, Organizational Development (OD) who’s not just experienced, but a true oracle in the field.

REQUIRED/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years Organization Development, HR, Business, or related experience
  • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field AND 5+ years Organization Development, HR, Business, or related experience.

ADDITIONAL OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years experience in Consulting, Program Design, Organizational Design, Strategic Planning/Execution, and/or Change Management.
  • Master’s Degree or higher in Organizational Development, Industrial Organizationa (I/O) Psychology, Business, or related field.
    Organization Development IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year.

Responsibilities:

THIS ROLE IS TAILORED FOR A LEADER IN ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT WHO WILL PLAY A PIVOTAL ROLE IN SHAPING MICROSOFT’S APPROACH TO DESIGNING ADAPTIVE BUSINESSES (E.G., ORGANIZATION DESIGN, OPERATING MODELS, AND DECISION-RIGHTS) TO UNLEASH INNOVATION AT SCALE WITH SPEED, CHANGE DESIGN, AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE OD SKILLING PROGRAM.

As the Senior Manager, Organizational Development, you will develop and deliver strategies, programs and plans and drive excellence to further Microsoft’s Business Strategy. Within the corporate-wide OD community, involvement includes work at both the enterprise level and with specific businesses. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with their team and colleagues, create, improve and sustain OD tools and methodologies for the different audiences, leveraging a depth of expertise in the OD space as well as knowledge of the COE and Microsoft organizations. You will be required to contribute knowledge of OD tools and methodologies to OD colleagues, HR and other roles in order to grow OD mindset, and skillset.
  • You will partner closely with Human Resources (HR) Learning & Development (L&D) to increase the depth of expertise in organizational assessment, organizational design, leadership team effectiveness and change management for their HR organization. Serves as a subject matter expert and coaches and teaches on OD.
  • Leads a portfolio of projects including the project plan, timelines, milestones, metrics, and/or resource needs for highly complex programs. Communicates the program status and risk to relevant stakeholders and holds them accountable for following the established schedule, risk mitigation plans, and processes. Establishes objectives and success criteria for the project in an inclusive, collaborative manner with all stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with existing and prospective clients and stakeholder groups, drawing upon operations and organizational knowledge and insights to surface and discuss issues within and beyond the scope of specific project engagements
  • Understand the client’s business objectives, strategy, processes and operations to ensure the proposed changes satisfy the needs of the business.
  • Performs program landscape research and analysis (e.g., internal and/or external market, sales, delivery). Demonstrates thought leadership in contributing to overall business goals, objectives, and strategies, as well as short- and long-term business priorities.
