THE OPPORTUNITY
Delaware North is hiring a Senior Payroll Initiatives Manager to join our team. As a Payroll Initiatives Manager, you will be responsible for leading innovation projects in Workday and other system that will drive cost savings opportunities that contribute to business growth and efficiencies. This role is remote eligible. If someone is hired in the Buffalo, NY area, this role will work a hybrid schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or equivalent required
- 2+ years of Workday experience required
- 4+ years of experience in multi-state payroll or HRIS systems implementation
- Project management experience, Six Sigma certified a plus
- CPP or FPC certification strongly preferred
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities:
- Lead payroll projects, ensuring efficient, compliant, and accurate processing within Workday, while adhering to project timelines and quality standards
- Develop, track, and communicate project plans and deliverables, working with teams to mitigate risks and create contingency plans
- Create and maintain documentation and training resources, identifying process gaps and driving continuous improvement in implementation methodology and best practices
- Collaborate with other departments to address payroll impacts, provide hyper-care support, and maintain customer service levels, while developing team KPIs and managing team performance
- Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting, contributing to ongoing process improvement and supporting strategic decision-making
