JOB SUMMARY

The senior manager, people and culture is responsible for developing and implementing people and culture and recruiting practices and strategies that foster a people-centric, high-performance culture, emphasizing our core values: excellence, diversity, ownership, and integrity. This position aligns people and culture best practices and strategies to business objectives while also ensuring alignment between team members and management throughout the Credit Union. * This is a hybrid/St. Louis position *

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

  • High school diploma
  • Minimum of 10 years’ related experience
  • Minimum of 5 years’ management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or related field preferred

  • Ability to develop relationships across all levels of organizations while maintaining objectivity with the ability to separate oneself and situation from all analysis and solutioning.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HR law, HR policy and procedure, organizational design, and organizational development principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating effective talent acquisition strategies and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience influencing partner decisions to drive execution of departmental and organizational strategy.
  • Agility to work comfortably in ambiguity and influence all levels of the organization.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills including the ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information, diagnose needs, and make recommendations and decisions quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to operate in a matrixed structure.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manages and supports stakeholders through the PCBPs by leveraging relationships and enhancing the employee experience.
  • Consults and guides business stakeholders by influencing and aligning leaders while serving as a though partner and change agent who assists the organization by supporting business objectives.
  • Develops and owns execution for effective people and culture strategies including talent acquisition, succession planning, workforce development, employee retention, employee engagement, and organization design; identifies issues and trends and collaborates in creating integrated solutions.
  • Maintains current knowledge and educates team members to ensure high ethical standards of practice and compliance of all existing governmental, labor, and legal requirements.
  • Leads and mentors team members in complex employee relations issues and develops practices, procedures, and guidelines necessary to align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Effectively leads and manages team members by ensuring engagement, personal and professional development, and achievement of results.
  • Creates an equitable and safe environment where team members can voice ideas, concerns, and challenge each other openly.
  • Seeks to understand core business offerings as well as market conditions affecting the Credit Union.
  • Assesses and anticipates business issues and analyzes information to understand root causes and effectively implement solutions.
  • Provides collaboration and thought leadership to business partners around workforce, strategy and operations, talent acquisition, and HR practices.
  • Partners with stakeholders to assess gaps and needs to develop a diversity strategy among workforce that fosters inclusion.
  • Generates specific organizational interventions (culture change, restructuring, training, etc.) to support organizational objectives.
  • Assists stakeholders with thoughtful dialogue about the implications of decisions relative to their impact on other business units and teams.
  • Utilizes data to make or validate decisions and practices; uses analytics to assess value to organization.
  • Develops programs to close training and development gaps for business units and individual coaching needs.
  • Assists to establish departmental measurements that support the accomplishment of the organization’s strategic goals.
  • Protects the interests of employees and the Company in accordance with company Human Resources policies and governmental laws and regulations.
