Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required - MBA in engineering, computer science, finance, mathematics strongly preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in Revenue Management roles
  • Excellent analytical skills a must; ability to create detailed models and to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable business insight.
  • Airline and/or Cargo experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership ability and experience in leading and coaching a team.
  • Effectively communicate complex ideas simply and easily
  • Ability to work in English and French is an asset.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel and other business intelligence tools
  • Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience

Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and leadership to Pricing and Digital Distribution teams.
  • Participate in and execute the company’s business strategies in order to attain Air Canada Cargo goals.
  • Identify, benchmark and develop best practices in pricing management, demand forecasting, and digital solutions.
  • Drive the team’s adoption of existing and new technology to support the cargo branch.
  • Build relationships with customers, partners and vendors related to business unit(s)
  • Drive and work to continually develop strategic thinking within all business units.
  • Effectively communicate various business strategies to the Director and the senior leadership team and ensure alignment between regions’ commercial strategies.
  • Oversee business unit(s) financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
  • Maintain expert knowledge and understanding of the logistics landscape, current markets and competitive forces.
  • Provide commercial input into corporate cargo budget exercise.
  • Represent Air Canada Cargo at various industry meetings and conferences.
  • Maintain overall responsibility for regulatory compliance for Pricing and Digital Distribution.
  • Review and oversee and provide guidance on strategic pricing proposals (global RFPs)
  • Lead commercial distribution strategies to sales and customers.
  • Approves major systems implementations related to Pricing and Cargo Digital.
  • Communicate and distribute key business unit(s) performance metrics to various Air Canada stakeholders.
  • Retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides career coaching, growth, and personal development for direct/indirect report employees.
