JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Costing – Financial Planning is responsible for defending CN’s financial interests in the face of government regulations. The incumbent challenges interpretations and produces innovative analysis and arguments to regulators in support of CN’s view. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements with accurate and timely regulatory reporting, and monthly Year-End Outlook (YEO) forecasts to properly drive the business within statutory constraints. Furthermore, the incumbent is an authority on economic matters related to the Canadian Transportation Agency and the United States (U.S.) Surface Transportation Board (STB), for costing and rate challenges.

EXPERIENCE

Finance, Accounting, Costing, Pricing or Marketing

  • Between 5 to 10 years of experience in CN, in finance, accounting, costing, pricing, or marketing
  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in statistical analysis or econometric modelling

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION/DESIGNATION

  • Post-Graduate Degree in Finance, Economics, Econometrics, or Accounting
