ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline
  • At least five years’ experience at a senior level with strong commercial acumen
  • Comprehensive understanding of risk management principles and experience in risk and compliance management

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Experience in recommending and embedding governance, compliance and risk management associated software
  • Expertise in insurance renewals and claims and managing insurance portfolios
  • Experience in managing and maintaining databases of corporate policies, guidelines and procedures

Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance will report to the Chief Finance Officer and works closely with Executive and Senior Managers to implement and maintain risk management and compliance frameworks; and embed a risk management culture across the organisation. The role is responsible for coordination of compliance with all relevant legal, statutory, and ethical requirements as well our internal audit program, to reduce and manage risk across all areas of the organisation’s operations. You will also manage the organisation’s insurance portfolio and the Policy Framework to reduce risk and improve efficiency. The Senior Manager, Risk and Compliance will be a key member of the Business Continuity Team and Emergency Response Team - to assist and guide senior management and enable the organisation to be prepared for and minimise the impact of crisis events and assist the organisation to act in a coordinated and consistent way in the event of a crisis.
This role is Permanent and will require travel at times to our regional offices and lodges.
