What you’ll do…
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Manager, Software Engineering to join our team and take charge of our Tax Data Hub. As the Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in centralizing all tax data into a single repository, enabling our tax business users to easily access and utilize this valuable information.
By streamlining tax filings and tax audits, your work will contribute to significant savings for Walmart through the substantiation of a lower tax liability. Your responsibilities will include running the monthly Tax Compliance process, which ensures the reconciliation of all tax data as part of the month-end close process. Additionally, you will lead a team of 8-10 talented associates, fostering their growth and development.
Collaboration will be key in this role, as you will work closely with our global team based in India, who support the Tax Data Hub application. You will actively work on synergies between the Data and Application teams, ensuring seamless integration and maximizing the overall efficiency of our tax processes.
Furthermore, your expertise will extend beyond the Tax Data Hub as you become a fundamental supporter of our broader tax application space. This space is responsible for tax assignment on every item and transaction, and your guidance and leadership will be vital in driving success.

By understanding their needs and challenges, you will be able to guide your team in delivering solutions that truly address their requirements. Your partnership with the tax business partners will be critical in shaping the direction of the Tax Data Hub and ensuring that we are working on the right things.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS…

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
