QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Software Engineering or related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience building & delivering global solutions on multi-functional platforms.
  • Leadership experience in managing cross functional team members with an emphasis on Software Quality Assurance, testing and verification activities.
  • Expert knowledge of Software Quality Assurance Principles and best practices
  • Proven experience in driving and implementing SQA best practices and principles, test strategies, Continuous delivery, test automation, behavioural driven development, testdriven development etc.
  • Agile Certified, with an excellent knowledge and experience of working in an Agile framework and principles.
  • Quality Engineer experience: functional, regression, risk-based, integration, system, UI, reliability, scalability, load, performance, cross browser/platform testing – strategy and execution with a focus on test automation. The candidate is expected to have a hands-on approach to product testing, with good automation experience (Java, Perl, Python, etc) and in-depth knowledge of test automation tools.
  • Excellent familiarity with automated API testing, data integrity tests, performance tests and automation tools including Postman.
  • Strong knowledge of test automation (Preferably Python, Pytest) and test management suites including TestRail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and evidence of enabling teamwork in a matrix environment with an ability to build relationships and influence outcomes.
  • Proven ability to build coalitions and develop strong partnerships across functions.
  • Demonstrated aptitude and attitude to get immersed in the resolution of technical challenges and technical advancements.
  • A data driven approach to analysing progress and trends to reduce risk and improve quality.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including technical writing / documentation.

ROLE SUMMARY

The Pfizer Digital C4 organisation builds and maintains the platforms and capabilities that enable Pfizer Business Units to connect digitally with our external customers and effectively engage and collaborate across teams internally. We build advanced cloud-based technology solutions at a global scale that positively impact Pfizer business performance. Pfizer is accelerating the use of digital technology across our entire commercial business.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance (SQA) professional with a deep understanding of Agile principles to join our C4 SQA Team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and mentoring software development teams across the Pfizer Digital C4 organisation on SQA principles and methodologies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
The SQA Senior Manager will provide leadership, oversight and input to all aspects of quality assurance, including applying industry best practices, developing new testing solutions, and establishing metrics.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Coaching:

  • Provide coaching, guidance and mentoring to the C4 SQA team, and to product and platform teams on SQA principles and best practices.

Training & development:

  • Develop training content, & conduct training sessions, workshops, and Knowledge sharing sessions to enhance the skills and capabilities of software development teams on SQA Best practices and Principles.

SQA Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and oversight to product and platform teams in developing and implementing effective test strategies, methodologies, and processes including test automation, to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products and platforms.
  • Provide Leadership and oversight to QA Leads (Both Colleagues and Contractors) responsible for product Quality and testing oversight.
  • Create test strategies for major programs and platforms.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Define and track key quality metrics and KPI’s for the Pfizer Digital C4 organisation to measure the effectiveness of SQA efforts, providing regular reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Define and drive adoption of key quality metrics, reports and dashboards for Product and Platform teams to measure and evaluate the quality and efficiency of the software development and testing lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the SQA function, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing best practices to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.

Collaboration and Quality Advocacy:

  • Act as a champion for SQA within the Pfizer Digital C4 organisation, advocating for SQA best practices and principles to be integrated into all aspects of the software development process.
  • Fosters collaboration and communication between cross functional teams, including development, product management, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment & transparency throughout the software development cycle.

Test Process Improvement:

  • Seeks to continuously improve test processes.
  • Conducts Root Cause Analysis, correction, and prevention.
  • Work with their teams to identify risk and create plans to mitigate
  • Implements critical knowledge transfer and communication processes with relevant teams.

Test Management:

  • Ensures effective and efficient application of test processes and tools.
