Description:
Job Purpose: The Senior Manager Succession Planning and Performance Management leads the development and implementation of succession planning and performance management strategies, ensuring a robust pipeline of leadership talent and optimal employee performance across the organisation.
Responsibilities:
IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive succession planning program, identifying critical positions and collaborating with senior leaders to assess and identify high-potential employees.
- Establish and oversee a structured process for creating and implementing development plans for potential successors, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals, while monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of these plans to support the talent pool and ensure business continuity.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the performance management system, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and the overall talent management strategy.
- Develop a sustainable framework for training and supporting managers in setting performance expectations, providing feedback, and conducting performance evaluations, while ensuring the consistent analysis of performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Leadership development team in designing leadership development programs using the 70:20:10 model and the three E’s of Talent Development (Experience, Education, Exposure) to build the capability of current and future leaders.
- Partner with stakeholders to integrate succession planning and performance management practices, and communicate effectively with senior leadership to provide updates on initiatives.
- Utilise data analytics to inform succession planning and performance management decisions, prepare and present insights on talent and performance metrics to senior management, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality in all HR processes.
- Collaborate with external consultants and vendors as needed to enhance succession planning and performance management initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST MEET THE BELOW REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a HR related field, preferably within Organisational Psychology or equivalent, a Masters level qualification would be an asset.
- 10+ years professional experience in Human Resources and training with a progressive experience in a people and organisational development role.
- Behavioural Science Training - A qualification in psychometrics is an advantage
- Be a critical thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to analyse data and create meaningful conclusions which will inform the business.
