DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, the Senior Manager is responsible for optimizing and driving profitable growth across Purolator’s portfolio of Vertical products and services. This role will have dual responsibilities between product management (making what we already have better) and product development (creating net new). Leading a team of professionals, this role will model the way to effectively elevate strong Enterprise results while supporting individual growth & development. The successful candidate will have a strong general manager mindset thinking both vertically and horizontally, and outstanding relationship skills, interacting with Director-level and above colleagues across the organization to execute.

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years marketing or product management experience
  • 2 years of people management experience

Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with the Senior Business Leaders to support target setting, roadmaps and strategic plan development for their portfolios
  • Generate ideas for new products, strategies, and service enhancements by collaborating with cross-functional teams – comfort in facilitating workshops and leading brainstorming sessions is an asset
  • Actively sponsor and lead cross functional strategic projects supporting profitable growth and value proposition enhancements – key example would be the conceptualization, business case and take to market of a new service
  • Maintain strong communication and collaboration with cross functional business partners (sales, operations, IT, revenue management) to ensure alignment on objectives and initiatives
  • Sets out the evaluation metrics to determine performance, creating a foundation for consistent reporting across team
  • Accountable for results and value created across portfolios relative to KPIs and objectives established
  • Analyze product and industry reporting, data and trends to develop qualitative and quantitative insights
  • Analyze internal and external data to ensure a clear understanding of customer impacts when making recommendations on solutions or influencing decisions
