LGLNA IS LAUNCHING A MAJOR NORTH AMERICA EXPANSION IN WARREN, MICHIGAN INCLUSIVE OF TRUCKING, WAREHOUSING, INVENTORY MANAGEMENT, AND CLIENT SERVICES.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Transportation Manager role requires direct experience running a trucking and warehousing operation. Korean language fluency is a bonus for us, but is not required. This leader will also be required to launch our dedicated trucking and warehousing teams to the direction of our client. Critical to this role is ensuring safe, efficient and effective operational capabilities of a 250,000 sq. ft. warehouse and logistics movements coordination including picking, staging, loading and dispatching the required inventory to our client. This individual will have experience in Hazmat trucking operations, the recruiting, retention, coaching and management of both drivers and associates and have a customer centric focus, striving to always meet our customer expectations. The right candidate will thrive in a fast-paced and multi-site environment. They enjoy collaborating with all company team members, are self-motivated and skilled in inbound and outbound communication with internal colleagues and customers in a fast paced warehouse/logistics environment. We’re looking for an experienced professional who will partner with our customer to support and develop our fast-growing business. As a team leader, you must have a strong sense of urgency and excel in a fast-paced environment, while also possessing superb attention to detail, an ability to juggle multiple projects and strong interpersonal skills. This position reports to the Director of Operations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Five (5) years of warehouse management experience, (Required)
  • Three (3) years of trucking operations experience, (Required)
  • Reliable transportation is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Korean fluency (Preferred)
  • Experience Warehouse Management Systems
  • Experience with Hazmat Transportation Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Working knowledge of warehouse / mechanical equipment
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT regulations and the willingness to become certified in one or more of these areas as necessary.
  • Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours including nights, weekends and holidays as needed by the company or customer.
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Experience with seasonal work forces and staffing agencies.
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean/Six Sigma tools.
  • Excellent talent management and team building skills
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and direct warehouse associates
  • Manage all inbound, outbound of customer products.
  • Manage warehouse inventory and keep records of the inventory / Conduct daily, monthly and annual inventory
  • Resolve any arising problems and complaints in timely manner
  • Collaborate with trucking teams to manage logistics operations reliably
  • Report by establishing the optimal logistics warehouse operation plan
  • Collaborate with leadership team to guide and understand skills and competencies required for openings
  • Develop, implement, and maintain company policies and procedures
  • Track and record performance reviews
  • Monthly AR/AP closing management.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and recommended best practices
  • Other duties as assigned
