Description:
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with sheet metal fabrication, brazing, and welding techniques.
- Experience with tooling for manufacturing and testing
- Experience with Solumina or other manufacturing software
- Experience with additive manufacturing fabrication techniques.
- Experience using code/script tools.

Responsibilities:
POSITION ROLE TYPE:

The successful candidate will use fundamentals of metal fabrication to define the processes for building a heat exchanger. The candidate will typically work in an integrated product development team to ensure the functional requirements will meet the internal and external customers’ expectations.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Generate processes for fabrication that meet the functional requirements including:
- Stacking, Brazing, welding, machining, assembly, and testing.
- Generate sheets that derive functional requirements down to a piece part for a supplier to be able to produce.
- Generate inputs for tooling and/or generate definition for tooling to support fabrication of heat exchangers.
- Assist fabricators with understanding requirements and process to fabricate the heat exchanger.
- Support other functions in fabricating the heat exchanger for inspections, testing braze/weld certification and other operations for the fabrication of the heat exchanger
