Responsibilities:
As our new Senior Marine Biologist, you will be key player in a team of biologists/ecologists working on a range of projects spanning several sectors. To succeed in this role you must have an appropriate marine biology post-graduate qualification and be a Member of Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management at the appropriate grade. We would particularly like to hear from you if you have experience of coastal and offshore bird ecology and/or assessing underwater noise impacts on mammals.The role will be predominantly desk based with occasional field work.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Planning and undertaking marine biology assessments and producing high quality reports
- Devising mitigation designs
- Liaising with regulators
- Managing small to medium scale projects with input on large scale projects with the support of the marine biology lead
- Main point of contact with Ramboll project managers, clients, partner organisations and sub-consultants
- Delivering technical work on complex projects
- Fee proposal preparation and assisting with client relationship management
- Supervision and management of more junior staff and input to resource planning.
- Carrying out such additional duties as may reasonably be required in this role
