Description:

The role
Reporting to the Principal Market Research Advisor, Strategy, Research and Evaluation, your role involves active participation in developing and executing market research projects aimed at improving health outcomes for consumers within the Queensland health system. Drawing on your strategic thinking, you will plan and deliver social market research projects. With expertise in data analysis, you’ll be well placed to extract actionable insights that inform behaviour change communication activities. To support these projects, you will foster and manage relationships with stakeholders across Queensland Health, Health & Hospital Services (HHSs), other government agencies, and key health sector partners.
Additionally, you’ll contribute to crisis response communications, actively participate in the continuous improvement of team processes, and uphold adherence to human resource and financial management policies.
The successful person
Success in this position requires a proven track record in efficiently managing and executing substantial social market research projects within established budgets and timelines, ensuring all outcomes align with strategic priorities. Your communication and interpersonal abilities should be highly developed, showcasing your capacity to maintain professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and suppliers. Additionally, you should bring demonstrated expertise in contemporary social market research practices, a comprehensive understanding of behaviour change theory, and experience in analysing and simplifying data to identify behaviour change opportunities for guiding communication activities.
Furthermore, your skill set should encompass robust project management capabilities, evident in your ability to plan and oversee the delivery of multiple concurrent priorities. Your analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with hands-on experience in research design and evaluation as well as proficiency in tools like SPSS or Q, are essential for this role.
