Leveraging its success in integrating AI and ML into its platform, CivicScience seeks a Senior Marketing Data Scientist to lead work that creates predictive models and forecasts for customers by using our exclusive database of 5+ billion consumer insights.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS in a technical field and/or PhD in data science, computer science, physics, economics, engineering, mathematics, operations research or statistics.
  • 5+ years of experience in data science with a strong focus on machine learning and deep learning in a commercial setting; startup experience, a plus
  • 2+ years of managerial experience, leading high-performance technical teams.
  • Proven customer interaction skills, including presentations and support for commercial teams.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL; adept at learning new technologies.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Flink, as well as cloud data platforms; experience building applications using generative AI, a plus
  • Skilled in data manipulation and exploration of large datasets.
  • Innovative thinker with a track record of technology-driven problem-solving.
  • Experience in collaborating with engineering to develop tools supporting data science.
  • Expert in statistical methods and experimental design.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to engage with senior management.
  • Positive and proactive attitude, capable of finding creative solutions to overcome challenges.
  • Familiarity with market research, consumer data, and data consulting is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement advanced predictive models using machine learning and deep learning techniques
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights, using statistical techniques
  • Develop prototypes for new data products using Python and SQL
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to integrate data-driven solutions into our products
  • Lead projects and mentor junior data scientists to promote a culture of data-driven decision making
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends in data science and machine learning, applying best practices to our processes
  • Identify new business opportunities and leverage data for value creation
